Bye Bye

Dear Friends, I'm going to take a short hiatus and will return at a later date. I'm fine, but I have a few small dragons that need to be slain and a few rats that need capturing. For those of you who have my email address, please write when the mood hits you or call...some of you have my numba!!

Have a glorious summer, or what's left of it, and I shall return before the first leaf drops, well for those of you in the Eastern part of the U.S. that might be sooner than expected...LOL. Hopefully, I will be at a better place, refreshed, regenerated and rip-raring to go!! Love ya all and as always, peace out.

Georgina, I know EXACTLY where you're coming from. What can you say? Life sometimes gets in the way of blogging. But you know what? You will absolutely come back feeling invigorated and refreshed. And I don't think you'll stay away quite that long. I sure hope to see you back VERY SOON!

I also wanted to thank you for your awesome comment. It totally made my day, cause I think you really get what I was 'talking' about in re to my Abuelita. And I ♥ your story about your Grandparents. I suspect you take after your 'buelita and her sense of humor! I meant to ask you if you're of Cuban ancestry, not just because you mentioned your Buelito's cigars, but I've always thought you must be Cuban from your profile pic, since you have very light skin (guera). And if you are, then surely you must have Irish blood, hence the wit and humor, LOL! I'm always very interested in people's backgrounds, because it really does shape who we are. Well, catch you next time, and I hope you stop by again. I know I've not been consistent in blogging, but I do try. Til next time, take care and God bless!

Aah, Georginna! Your Family Tree is a great novel waiting to be written! I loved reading the little bits you shared. Can you just imagine how delightful it must have been during your G,G,Grandparent's time in Paris? (Sigh)Can you tell I'm a hopeless romantic? I'm telling you, girl, while you can, while you have good memory of the stories, write them down! I guarantee you they will be a treasure someday to someone in your family, perhaps even long after you're gone! I encourage you to make time to do that. Writing can be quite therapeutic, and can even ward off approaching dragons, LOL! Just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed reading your comment, and I sincerely think there is even a good movie to be made from that long ago story. Wish I had as much to share on my side. I do know my Abuelita was a child/teen during the Mexican Revolution, and she shared stories of things she saw. But she was orphaned as a child, so not much is known about her Parents. Aaah, how I wish I had listened more intently when she would tell her stories!
